Responsibilities & Duties:
Provide leadership in maintenance through technical expertise by assessing, coaching, or teaching, team members on area processes, procedures, or work instructions. Act as a maintenance SME, providing guidance to ensure their process areas are not constrained due to the lack of technical capability or knowledge Facilitates communication and collaboration between production, maintenance, and reliability teams Collaborates with maintenance planning and scheduling to verify preventative maintenance activities are effective, value added, and meeting the needs of the production team Coordinates, manages, and executes maintenance and repair improvement projects to deliver improved outcomes in planned and unplanned maintenance activities
Essential Responsibilities
Leadership in Maintenance
Develops strong coaching skills to provide effective feedback for plant team members in area of expertise
Provides technical mentorship and guidance for maintenance and repair troubleshooting
As maintenance SME provide technical assessments to site leadership by identifying critical opportunities in owned process areas
Technical SME
Champions, leads, and executes equipment, reliability, or process improvement projects
Provides technical guidance and expertise to production and reliability teams
Partners with staff engineers or contractors to design and develop engineering changes and continuous improvement projects
Facilitates Communication
Reports out at relevant meetings key performance indicators (KPIs) and relevant maintenance metrics
Updates relevant KPIs and maintenance metrics to ensure effective and efficient communication of maintenance activities and outcomes.
Partners with site leadership teams to ensure key stakeholders are aware of critical maintenance activities
Maintenance Planning and Scheduling
Assess effectiveness of existing preventative maintenance activities, and if necessary develop and oversee improvement plan.
Provide feedback to maintenance leadership, maintenance planners and schedulers to improve preventative maintenance program.
Identify opportunities to implement condition-based maintenance strategies.
Project Management
Partners with staff engineers or contractors to design continuous improvement projects for site facilities, production, and packaging equipment
Partners with maintenance leadership to prioritize execution of targeted improvement projects
Coordinates, manages, and executes approved maintenance and repair improvement projects to deliver improved outcomes in planned and unplanned maintenance activities
Additional Responsibilities
Accountable for meeting KHMS requirements as outlined in Digital Coach Manages execution of work orders for the assigned area, focuses on defect handling and breakdown elimination Works with Maintenance planner/scheduler to improve/implement needed planned maintenance routines Drives breakthrough results in Planned and Unplanned Downtime, and owns:
Tracking Maintenance & Repair (M&R) costs for line
Review % Planned Maintenance and % PM's completed
Breakdown reduction
Defect board and processes
Leads/supports RCFA process as assigned Clean, Inspect, Lube training and implementation Identifying centerline settings and documentation. Supports centerline management Coaches, trains, and develops team by serving as technical coach and resource Spends floor time to gather info on downtime, defects, and work order completion over past 24 hours. Attend and coach shift transition huddles Actively participates in KHMS structured DDS and DPM according to standard Serve as leader or participant on assigned teams & support team decisions as needed Create and/or track OEE performance reports for assigned area Request support from leadership and support groups to remove barriers Participate in planned stops Conduct coaching in ownership areas for root cause analysis of process failures and/or break downs and defect handing process. Owns breakdown elimination May be required to work in different business units & other shifts to expand business knowledge Utilize the SAP system to document maintenance activities including:
Release corrective work orders and notifications to assigned to technicians
Execute budgeting for cost to maintain equipment for the assigned cost centers
Execute time confirmation in SAP and run utilization reports
Utilize SAP to search history for equipment breakdowns, parts usage, and repair costs, etc.
