Responsibilities & Duties:
Work in a safe manner, following all general safety rules of the plant. This includes but is not limited to the following tasks:
Following PPE requirements
Escalating safety defects and concerns to leads/supervisors
Conducting and supporting behavioral safety observations
Assure we are always working to meet or exceed our quality standards. This includes but is not limited to the following tasks:
Following GMP requirements
Inspecting raw materials and finished goods
Completing quality documentation
Assisting in rework as assigned
Escalating quality defects and concerns to leads/supervisors
Responsibilities of the ORM coordinator will include, but are not limited to the following tasks:
Play an active role in prevention of occupational illnesses/injury, by early intervention activities and education
Provide evaluation, treatment and management of occupational illnesses and injury, including, emergency/ non-emergency and follow-up care
Provide emergency medical services within the Health Center (onsite)
Provide emergency medical response throughout building and facility (as required)
Provide Physician and specialist referral as appropriate (Med-1)
Coordinate Workers Compensation Claims with Kraft Heinz Third Party Administrator (assisting onsite ORM)
Coordinate Occupational, Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) Reporting and Recordkeeping, OSHA 300 Log. Kraft Heinz maintains responsibility and accountability for compliance with OSHA Regulations (assisting onsite ORM)
Provide medical surveillance exams, including documentation and recordkeeping - Audiometric testing, respirator medical clearance, and bloodborne pathogen vaccinations where applicable
Provide coordination and integration by taking a collaborative approach to programming and by supporting other vendors of support services such as employee assistance plan, and health education and wellness vendors
Provide coordination and integration for return to work protocol (working with HR, ORM and 3rd party referrals)
Provide Bloodborne pathogen training and record of exposure, to high risk staff defined as emergency response persons/1st responders
Provide triage, assessments and treatment as appropriate for ill employees, contract employees, provide referral to outside medical as needed
Provide health teaching on an individual basis
Participate in production floor job observations and coaching, by observing the production line as needed for safety initiatives
Participate in PPE and Safety BOS (Behavioral Observation System) program for Safety initiatives
Collaborate with Kraft Heinz ORM Department
Assist with sites emergency response medical plan
Provide toxicology expertise and administer onsite testing as needed
Collaborate with Kraft Heinz Medical Emergency Responder Team (AED and 1st Responders)
Support Kraft Heinz Management System (KHMS) at the leadership level. This includes, but is not limited to, participation in the following processes:
Shift Hand Offs Meetings
Level 1 Meetings
5S
Defect Handling
Daily Problem Handling
BOS
JSA
Risk Triggers
Perform any other duty as assigned
Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be required to stand; walk; use hands and fingers to handle or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; talk and hear. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move 50 - 100 pounds, requesting assistance as necessary.
Work Environment: While performing the duties of this job the employee regularly works near moving mechanical parts. The employee will be exposed during his/her job to high noise levels, chemicals, exposure to strong odors, fumes or airborne particles, constant stair climbing, and slippery floors.
Personal Protective Equipment: The employee is regularly required to wear company authorized safety shoes, hearing protection, safety glasses, gloves, rubber boots, chemical protection and other personal protective equipment to successfully perform the functions of this job safely.
Qualifications:
Upon hire will train and certify in CPR/FA/AED/BBP and maintain certification
Upon hire will train to become Lock Out Tag Out certified and maintain qualification
Able to read, write, and perform basic math functions like multiplication and addition
May also train in other regulatory programs that include SWPPP, ICP, NPDES as a support role'
