Job Summary
The ADAS Algorithm Engineer is responsible for the design and development of algorithms for Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS). For this specific role, the engineer will develop software using C++ that will localize the vehicle using map and sensor inputs (SD and HD maps, GPS, cameras, radars, lidars, etc...). This will be accomplished using both real world and simulated data. A candidate with experience in the entire product lifecycle, from concept definition to product roll out would be ideal.
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or related degree field
2-5 years of experience working in algorithm development with C++ 11 or newer
Experience with Agile methodologies/frameworks
Experience with the Software V-model
Experience with Multicore architecture
Knowledge of embedded operating systems/software stacks
Prior experience with CI/CD or build management
Experience with Linux
Experience with ADAS features
Exposure to standards compliance (ISO-26262, ASPICE, AUTOSAR)
Familiar with configuration management and version control tools (JIRA, Polarion, Plastic, GitLab, etc.)
Familiar with Localization concepts (ex: state estimation, Bayesian statistics, Kalman filters, GNSS systems)
Familiar with SD and HD mapping concepts
Preferred Qualifications
Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or related degree field
2+ years developing Localization software
2+ years developing HD mapping software
Roles and Responsibilities
Design, simulate, implement, and test ADAS algorithms using C++
Collaborate with upstream and downstream teams to ensure proper feature functionality
Proactively identify and contribute to changes that help the product progress along its roadmap
Analyze defects and test results to ensure KPI achievement by root causing the issues and designing algorithm improvements
Design and perform tests in various environments (SiL,HiL, in-vehicle) to verify system performance and robustness
Collaborate with systems engineers to support the creation and break-down of requirements and test cases
Collaborate with systems engineers to support the design of end-to-end system architecture
Perform system tuning and develop calibration guidelines
Follow defined software development and documentation procedures
