Are you driven by purposeful work and the opportunity to grow your career? As the Accounting Support Specialist remote based in Michigan you will enjoy making an impact by performing a variety of accounting support duties and developing your accounting and finance skill set.
Your core focus as Accounting Support Specialist will be to maintain accurate accounting records through reconciling, classifying, recording, and verifying purchase & payment information.
In addition, you will play a critical role guaranteeing the smooth delivery of excellent financial services, directly contributing to our mission of aiding our customers and the local businesses, organizations, and institutions that serve as cornerstones in our communities.

What you'll be doing
Prepare, process, and maintain financial transactions
Assist with routine accounting activities
Prepare and maintain accounting records
Enter, file, verify, and post accounting records entries
Reconcile accounting records and bank statements within the accounting system
Prepare, compile, and match invoices and vouchers to work and purchase orders
Analyze discrepancies in invoices and maintain vendor files
Prepare and reconcile receipts and handle cash deposits
Update stakeholders across the organization at all levels on critical accounting items
Drive problem resolution independently while keeping leadership updated on issues
