JOB FUNCTIONS:
Hospitality Aide- Primary purpose is to provide assistance to the Nursing Department with feeding and one on one interactions with the residents in accordance with the Care Plan as may be directed by the R.N./L.P.N./ Shift Supervisor. PM Phone Clerk/Door Screener- Assists with daily Health screening of visitors and staff. Performs clerical duties as requested. Assists Activities Department as needed to conduct window visits, conference calls, etc. between residents and families.
HOSPITALITY AIDE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBLITIES:
- Identify residents before serving meals.
- Prepare residents for meals (wash hands and face, position at table, place clothing protectors, etc.)
- Assist resident with identifying food arrangements and ordering meals in Menu Stream
- Perform the 20 points of Service
- Complete Ice Passes
- Serve food trays and assist with feeding as indicated (i.e. feeding, cueing, etc.)
- Assist residents in preparing for activities and social programs (i.e. church, parties, etc.)
- Assist in transporting residents to/from activities.
- Perform all assigned tasks in accordance with established policies and procedures, and as instructed by Supervisors.
- Follow work assignments and/or work schedules in completing and performing assigned tasks.
- Create and maintain an atmosphere of warmth, personal interest and positive emphasis as well as a calm environment throughout the Facility.
- Report all complaints made by the resident to the Charge Nurse.
- Pass Supplements; Give list to C.N.A. for documentation.
- Record all entries on flow sheets, FAR I&O as instructed.
- Answer Call lights.
- Make beds.
- Help with Special Duties (i.e., checking shower rooms, kitchenettes, etc.)
- Use only authorized abbreviations established by the Facility when recording information.
- Report all accidents and incidents you observe on the shift and complete Incident Report, including occupational exposures to blood, body fluids, or infectious materials. Follow established policies concerning exposure to blood/body fluids.
- Redirect and use adaptive devices as instructed.
- Wash hands before and after performing any service for the resident.
- Keep the call light system in easy reach of the resident.
- Follow established safety precautions in the performance of all duties.
- Report all hazardous conditions and equipment to the Charge Nurse.
- Before leaving work areas for breaks, or at the end of the work day, store all tools, equipment and supplies away.
- Keep floors dry and wipe up any spills and put wet floor sign up.
- Notify the Facility when late or unable to work as soon as possible.
- Responsible for appropriate use of Facility supplies and equipment to minimize loss, waste and fraud.
- Performs other duties as assigned
PM PHONE CLERK/DOOR SCREENER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBLITIES:
- Answering and re-directing phone calls professionally and courteously.
- Observe front-desk protocols for all visitors and guests.
- Operate a multi-line telephone system
- Perform various duties such as mail sorting, filing & other duties as assigned.
- Communicate information to staff and other individuals directly involved in resident care.
- Be knowledgeable with established emergency procedures.
- Keeping the reception area neat and ready for visitors.
- Maintaining the confidentiality of residents' personal information.
- Screen employees outside front entrance.
- Screen visitors in front lobby.
- Schedule resident in person visiting as time permits.
- Supervise resident in person visiting as time permits.
- Deliver items received at front entrance as time permits.
- Assist Activities Department with window visits, conference calls (Zoom, Facetime, Facebook messenger, Google Duo, etc.) as time permits.
- Other duties that may be assigned by Supervisor and/or Administrator.

QUALIFICATIONS
- High school graduate preferred.
- Must be 17 years of age or older.
- Must successfully complete the required State trainings for the Hospitality Aide position.
- Must be able to read, write, speak and understand the English language
