OVERVIEW
The Systems Engineer focuses on integration support for vehicle electronic system. General Dynamics is looking for a highly-motivated and experienced engineer to work with a team of Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) System Design Expert Engineers.
Hybrid: Due to the nature of the work, this role may require on-site presence up to 80%.
This position will require eligibility to obtain a US security clearance. (Non-US Citizens may not be eligible to obtain a security clearance)

RESPONSIBLITIES
This position will be responsible for the development, integration, and maintenance of HIL test systems.
Simulation of synthetic driving environments (e.g., terrain, weather, lighting, position, obstacles, etc.)
Real-time physics-based plant simulation
Signal conditioning and fault injection
DAQ for CAN, Ethernet, 1553, RS-422, SSI, discrete analog, discrete digital, and other signal types
DIGITAL CIRCUIT DESIGN, ANALOG CIRCUIT DESIGN, SERIAL INTERFACE DESIGN, FPGA DESIGN
MICRO-CONTROLLERS, SIGNAL ANAYSIS
Cable/Harness Design, Electrical Drawings
ETHERNET NETWORKS, CAN BUS NETWORKS, SERIAL NETWORKS, TIME-SENSITIVE NETWORKING
Procurement of material required for integration test environment assembly
Other duties as assigned
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science desired - other disciplines and equivalent work experience will be considered.
5 years of experience in a similar role.
Must be able to use and have experience with the following engineering development and test tools independently is required.

Able to work on multiple projects simultaneously.
Must be able to handle task conflict and ambiguity and work with minimum supervision.
Ability to travel up to 20% to other facilities and military installations if needed.
Proficient in MS Office suite.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Previous experience working on ground combat Vehicles desired.
This position may require the candidate to be able to climb on/off, work in, and work around military vehicles is desired. Must be able to pass ASR test (Anthropometric Size Requirement for confined space)
Work environment will consist of prototype shop, laboratory, manufacturing and office.
Able to bring continuous improvement processes and methodologies to the position. Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills is required. Works well in team and individually.
Must be able to work occasional evening and/or weekend overtime as required.
