Job Description SummaryCustomer facing position for Prototype Sales and Prototype Program Management. Proactively and independently directs, consults with or coordinates multiple efforts and teams. Reviews project work scope, budget estimates, and determines manpower requirements. Develops quotations for sales of prototypes for internal use and to customers. Consults on coordination of critical, multi-sectional projects involving customers, internal stakeholders, vendors, and consultants. Keeps management informed of project accomplishments and major problem areas as well as budget and schedule status.
Job Description
*Demonstrable product design knowledge for axles and PTUs for both ICE Powertrain vehicles and Electric powered vehicle. Component design and test knowledge
*Demonstrable manufacturing methods and processes - machining, heat treat and assembly, and associated procurement lead times.
*Demonstrable ability to lead and deliver large and complex projects through to completion
*Demonstrate competency in maintaining project documents using approved methodology, tools, and templates.
*Demonstrated ability to plan and organize projects including schedules, budgets, and project deliverables
*Demonstrable customer interface skills and experience
*Experience in advising and guiding managers through projects
*Proven ability to handle multiple projects and meet deadlines.
*Demonstrable problem solving and continuous improvement skills and ability to find innovative solutions
*All other duties as assigned.
Required Skills and Education
BSME with 10 yrs min combined experience in manufacturing engineering and product design and validation.
Tier 1 supplier experience is a plus
