Job Purpose and Overview
The Corporate Supplier Quality Manager will lead and manage the Dawn approved supplier program and supplier quality relationships. This will include suppliers of ingredients/materials and co-manufacturing services. The position will lead a team to ensure that the ingredients/materials are food safe, compliant, and meet Dawn's approved supplier requirements. In this role, you will drive the Dawn organization's quality agenda to meet and achieve results through inspiring a food safety and quality culture among Dawn's suppliers.
This is a fully remote position with up to 75% travel required.
What will you do as a Corporate Supplier Quality Managerat Dawn Foods?
Serve as point of contact for supplier related quality issues for Dawn's raw materials, co-manufactured, and private brand products.
Develop, plan, and execute the management of distribution supplier quality approval and performance monitoring as needs arise.
Ensures suppliers comply with Dawn requirements and that the proper documentation is requested and received for compliance to GFSI and FSMA regulations.
Partners with key interdependent Dawn stakeholders and suppliers to ensure ingredients and materials are fit for purpose upon receipt at plants and the proper quality attributes are identified. Works with suppliers to resolve any issues with their products.
Ensures co-manufacturers are meeting Dawn's food safety and quality requirements; establish and maintain on-going performance review.
Establish and monitor raw material supplier quality metrics on an ongoing basis to provide proactive leadership in identifying and correcting quality issues. Facility periodic review of quality metrics with each supplier.
Provide leadership in developing and executing improvement plans relative to supplier quality and their respective raw materials.
Use data to make decisions; identify and prioritize improvement opportunities; leverages expertise in the application of quality diagnostic and improvement tools to establish cost effective improvements.
Provide support to the manufacturing plants with supplier related concerns during their investigations regarding customer complaints, production related food safety and quality concerns or crisis management to enable root cause investigation and the development of sustainable corrective actions. Consult with suppliers to arrive at a supportable decision regarding food safety and quality concerns.
Develops, implements, and coordinates audits of a Vendor Assurance program, to assure that Vendor's Quality systems guarantee compliance to quality specifications.
Assures that all materials bought by Dawn have a clear quality specification (coming from R&D) and aligned with Procurement.
Serve as recall / withdrawal coordinator for Dawn.
Calibrates all Dawn supplier auditors to an auditing standard to ensure consistent results when visiting suppliers or co-manufacturers.
Coach, teach, and mentor Dawn team members for career growth within the Supplier Quality pillar of the Food Safety and Quality department.
Audit supplier locations when required to ensure ongoing compliance to Dawn and regulatory requirements.
Provides other Quality support as required to Dawn manufacturing, distribution, or co-manufacturing facilities.
Flexibility is essential as you may be required to assume additional duties to meet evolving organizational needs.
Perform other duties as assigned or requested.

What Does It Take to be a Corporate Supplier Quality Manager at Dawn Foods?
Below are the minimum qualifications to be a fit for this job.
A Bachelor's degree is required, preferably in Food Science, Biology, Chemistry, or a related technical field.
A minimum of 5 years' experience in management or supervisory roles in food manufacturing operations, distribution, and supplier management.
A minimum of 7 years' experience with food manufacturing operations, distribution, and the management of suppliers
Proven ability to lead and facilitate in a team environment and build consensus in a positive manner with team members and customers.
Previous experience with conducting FDA, GFSI, FSMA Preventive Controls, or other third-party audits required.
PCQI certified and knowledge of FDA regulations is required.
FSVP (Foreign Supplier Verification Program) certification highly preferred.
Requires high level of operational knowledge of, and experience with, computer software including Microsoft Office, e-mail systems, SharePoint sites, Internet applications, Quality Management Software, or ability to learn these skills. SAP preferred.
Requires excellent oral, written, communication and presentation skills.
