Position Summary:
The Vice President of US Sales will offer strategic thought leadership to an accomplished Nephrology sales team by fostering a collaborative culture, growing and developing team members, and inspiring excellence and execution for our patients.
Responsibilities:
Leads and inspires a comprehensive team of 72 sales representatives, providing strategic guidance to 8 Zone Business Directors (Each ZBD in turn, is responsible for managing 9 Clinical Account Managers.)
Cultivates a culture that emphasizes patient-centricity, accountability, collaboration, compliance, and high performance, injecting an element of fun into the workplace.
Shapes an environment that strikes the right balance between autonomy, support, and development, empowering the field team to exceed goals and objectives.
Designs and implements both short and long-term resource requirements, strategies, goals, objectives, policies, and operational procedures for the sales department.
Ensures the effective strategic development and implementation of field team development plans.
Develops a comprehensive understanding of current and future competition, executing sales strategies to compete effectively and achieve patient acquisition and revenue goals.
Collaborates in the cross-functional process to establish incentive compensation strategy and plans.
Partners in the development of customer-centric marketing and promotional plans, ensuring alignment and execution by the sales organization.
Collaborates with Market Access, Patient Advocacy, and other stakeholders to comprehend patient population nuances and specific access challenges and supports access through formulary and reimbursement provision.
Engages in the cross-functional process to set targeting and call plan strategy, overseeing its effective implementation.
Participates in the goal-setting and forecasting process for US Commercial
Cultivates robust relationships with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs), physicians, private/public payers, academic centers, and other key market stakeholders to garner acceptance of the Company's products.
Recommends and implements policies and procedures to enhance business operations and sales analytics.
Establishes and manages appropriate departmental budgets.
Education/Experience Requirements:
Required
Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline; graduate degree is preferred.
Strong and authentic interest in helping patients.
Minimum of 15 years of successful sales experience with at least 10 years of sales leadership within the (bio)pharmaceutical industry.
Demonstrated ability and experience in building a high-performing sales organization.
Entrepreneurial mindset and "hands-on" leadership experience.
Prior experience developing and implementing sales strategy, including effective sales compensation plans.
Strong experience in exceeding corporate patient acquisition and revenue goals.
Strong experience in strategic launch planning and execution.
Well-organized with the ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage shifting responsibilities in a dynamic, cross-functional team environment.
Excellent collaboration skills with strong attention to detail and relationships.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Successful record of creating and managing complex project plans, timelines, and budgets.
Ability to travel 25-40% domestically.
Additional Skills/Experience:

Experience with products in specialty pharmacy distribution, especially in Nephrology.

Compensation: Our competitive compensation package includes a combination of both cash compensation (base pay and short-term incentive) and long-term incentive compensation (company stock), designed to recognize, retain, and reward employees.
Target Base Pay Range:$285,000.00 - $370,000.00
