Hyundai America Technical Center Inc. (HATCI) is looking for a Vehicle Cybersecurity Engineer to join the team in Superior Township, MI:
The Vehicle Cybersecurity Engineer for Hyundai America Technical Center Inc. (HATCI) will be part of an Irvine-based team of professionals engaged in aggressive open innovation and venture investment across North America.
Brief Responsibilities
The candidate will be responsible for incident response, including 'Coordinated Vulnerability Disclosure' with the white hat hackers and the academic researchers, as well as responses for agencies like the NHTSA and Congress. Another one is Cybersecurity Validation of North American Hyundai/Kia/Genesis Models. The engineer should have troubleshooting/root cause analysis skills and be proficient with both oral and written communication, so effective and efficient communication is provided to management and affiliate's cybersecurity experts.
Responsibilities
As part of a dedicated Cybersecurity team, you would:
Verify and represent of researcher's claim and discovered vulnerabilities.
Conduct research and analysis on our new models from a cybersecurity perspective
Qualifications:
Proficient at code reviewing, modifying and debugging of ECU and Web/Mobile Application Software
Proficiency in at least one computer language, such as python, C or assembler, etc.
Understanding of Linux and Android, including file systems and Memory Mitigation such Stack Canary, ASLR
General Skills

Proven success managing projects, working across teams, and driving performance in a cross-functional environment.

Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in computer science or cybersecurity required.
5+ years of relevant work experience required.
Experience with hacking competitions or presenting at cybersecurity conferences preferred.
Valid driver's license and satisfactory driving record
