Job Description
Our Pittsburgh office is currently looking to add a Project Manager with experience in developing and implementing variety of water/wastewater projects. You would be tasked with developing, executing, and managing water/wastewater infrastructure projects.
We're looking for people who can act as role models and ambassadors for Mott MacDonald, articulating and representing the brand, vision, and value proposition internally and externally. Our Pittsburgh office supports a broad spectrum of public and private clients. This position may require temporary placement within the client's offices to support management and implementation of their projects.
Responsibilities of the position will include but not be limited to the following:
Provide administrative and technical management over more than one water/wastewater project.
Establish and periodically review time-and-hour budgets and meet those budgets on the projects.
Periodically review project schedule and progress on the projects.
Outline more difficult problems and methods of approach for other engineers.
Supervise or coordinate varied assignments simultaneously.
Identify potential business development with existing clients and take an active or lead role in the proposal process.
Maintain continued relationship with client after project is finished to help secure future work.
Perform non-routine and complex assignments involving responsibility for a complete project of limited scope or a portion of a larger and more diverse project.
Apply intensive/diversified knowledge of engineering/scientific principals/practices in broad areas of assignment and related fields.
Calculate cost and determines feasibility of project based on analysis of collected data.
Candidate Specification
We invite applications from candidates with the following experience:
B.S. degree in civil, environmental, or mechanical engineering required.
10+ years' experience in water/wastewater engineering.
Both design and management of water/wastewater-related projects.
Mentoring of less experienced engineers.
PE or ability to obtain within one year in the state of Pennsylvania required.
Self-starter with ability to lead and manage people and projects.
Commercial approach to delivering projects.
Skilled in technical writing.
