What do our Distribution Center Managers do?
A successful Distribution Center Manager is a motivated team who can work with a focus on results in achieving company business goals. Success includes planning, organizing & effectively communicating within the assigned distribution center to optimize profit and meet marketing, financial and corporate growth objectives while developing and enhancing the customer experience within Target Specialty products.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Hiring, on-boarding, training, scheduling, and assigning work to new hires
Ensuring employees have the necessary equipment, materials, and documents to ensure successful completion of tasks
Monitoring and adjusting resources to achieve the daily shipment goals
Balancing workloads by taking readings throughout the day to achieve the appropriate level of volume by the projected time of completion
Monitoring the work performance of each employee to ensure that quality and quantity expectations are met or exceeded
Conducting staff meetings and verifying that daily work is completed accurately and on a timely basis
Providing ongoing training and retraining of employees to ensure that they are prepared to meet or exceed the standards for their function
Utilizing a variety of reports, summaries, and procedures to project workload and resolve problems that arise during the workday
Communicate effectively across all levels of the business
Analyzing information effectively to make sound business decisions
Build high-performance teams while engaging and inspiring colleagues
Ensure packing of shipments adhere to all specification and regulations
Completes and adheres to all required safety training
Report all accidents and near misses within 24hrs
Other duties may be assigned.
What do you need?
High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent
Forklift Certified within 30 days of Hire
HAZ Shipment (UPS/ FEDex) certified within 60 days of Hire
4+ years related experience in warehouse management
2+ years prior supervisory or group leading experience in a distribution center or warehouse environment
Familiarity with multiple web browsers and Google based platform
Familiarity with Radio Frequency (RF) equipment
Must pass pre-employment background screen
