Cleveland-Cliffs is seeking a dynamic candidate to join the Labor Relations team at our Dearborn Works location. A Labor Relations Representative administers the terms of the Collective Bargaining Agreement between the company and the UAW with respect to grievances, wages, employee welfare, company policies, and compliance with state/federal regulations.
Summary of Responsibilities:
Compiles HR data and metrics from various HRIS systems.
Performs data analysis related to the Labor Relations function.
Performs cost studies to make determinations of the impact of changes made to existing programs.
Responsible for labor agreement administration, reviews disciplinary cases and make recommendations.
Prepares for and participates in contract negotiations.
Administers and interprets the collective bargaining agreement.
Investigates and settles grievances under established grievance procedure.
Prepares or assists in the preparation of briefs for arbitration cases; may conduct presentations at hearings.
Investigates complaints from federal, state and local agencies.
Conducts instructional sessions for supervisory personnel regarding contract interpretation and compliance with company policies.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in a related field.
Minimum of three years' experience in Labor Relations and Human Resources in a manufacturing environment.
Must be highly experienced in MS Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel), with a focus on Excel.
Excellent writing and communication skills.
Willingness to meet aggressive deadlines.
