Job Summary
We Energies, a subsidiary of WEC Energy Group, is seeking a PG Office Supervisor for our Iron Mountain Hydro location.
The primary purpose of the Office Supervisor position is to provide leadership and direction for administrative staff assigned to various Hydro locations.
The position will work with the Hydro Asset Manager, Managers, Supervisors, and Engineers (Leadership team) to ensure appropriate levels of administrative support.
Key oversight of Hydro FERC license and dam safety compliance.
Quality control of key submittals to FERC and other regulating agencies.
Continued development of the Hydro Information System (HIS).
Highly interactive consulting role with Hydro leadership and all other levels of the Power Generation (PG) business unit.
Job Responsibilities
Provide coaching, counseling, discipline, training and development to team members as required. Establish performance and development plans (goals) annually with each team member.
Routinely and regularly monitor performance, reinforce expectations, evaluate and communicate performance levels to individual team members and adjust plans and priorities to meet goals as necessary.
Build support of the corporate vision by providing information needed to understand the business process, the need for continuous improvement, and the team's role in the vision of PG and Hydro.
Apply an understanding of PG operations, needs, and goals as a representative of Hydro on various PG/corporate teams/projects. May include lead responsibilities for teams/projects.
Establish customer focused relationships with Hydro leadership team. Consult with Hydro leadership team on administrative support requirements.
Minimum Experience Required
Work experience that provides a basic understanding of the utility business and the functions of a power plant is preferred.
High school diploma
combination of education and experience that demonstrates the ability to perform the critical functions of the position.
Demonstrated leadership skills
Team player and participant on cross functional teams.
Project management skills.
Must possess strong problem solving skills.
Must possess excellent written and verbal communication skills and highly developed interpersonal skills. Must also be able to effectively interface with key PG management.
Must be innovative, organized and highly motivated.
Advanced knowledge of Outlook, Word, Excel, and Power Point are preferred. An understanding of document and records management is desired.
Preferred Qualification
Bachelors degree in a related discipline
Advanced knowledge of SAP and Adobe Pro are preferred.
Ability to become a subject matter expert on the various software application platforms that support Hydrosuch as Cority Enviance, SharePoint, and ARCOS is preferred.
Understanding of document and records management is desired.
Work experience that provides a basic understanding of the utilitybusiness and the functions of a hydro plant is preferred.
A strong understanding of the business processes in PGpreferred.
