Job Description
The HCM Support Analyst is responsible for the support, maintenance, and configuration of the Oracle Human Capital Management application for the County and serves as the system administrator.
This position requires organizational and analytical skills and must have high attention to detail as well as recognizing customer service delivery issues and recommending or implementing solutions.
Required Education and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Computer Science or equivalent education and work experience within the Information Technology field
- 5+ years of experience providing technical support of HCM Systems (PeopleSoft and Oracle HCM Cloud preferred but not required)
- 3+ years of experience in reporting tools: PeopleSoft Query, OTBI, Power BI, SQL
Some related tasks are as follows:
- Maintain and support Oracle Human Capital Management and serve as the technical point-of-contact for members of the HR department, Payroll, Benefits and Retirement.
- Manage the Core HR, Benefits, Compensation, Time and Attendance, Schedules, and other implemented modules and serve as technical subject matter expert for additional module implementations and enhancement projects.
- Conduct break-fix analysis and manage overall system enhancements and testing.
- Configure and administer Oracle application for quarterly and annual processes including benefits Open Enrollment with Benefits team members and based on business requirements.
- Write queries or custom reports as needed to provide ad-hoc analysis to business partners, analyze system data, or solve system issues.
- Develop medium to complex Business Intelligence (BI) Publisher reports, together with XML templates.
- Lead testing activities for system-wide updates, upgrades, and patches and document test results.
- Recommend changes and/or update testing scripts as necessary.
- Assist during data conversions and integrations, as needed.
- Perform HCM Data Loader and HCM Spreadsheet Data Loader tasks for various business objects, as needed.
- Provide assistance in key system processes (i.e. process month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes).
- Develop custom reports and interfaces for delivery to internal and external systems.
- Maintain and support Oracle Human Capital Management outbound and inbound electronic interfaces
- Perform regular system audits to ensure data integrity
- Manage the application development lifecycle for the system to meet the development goals and resolve development issues for that system.
- Lead development activities with functional support team and maintain technical documentation.
- Review and contribute to training materials and end user support documents.
- Collaborate with functional owners to provide technical development for business requests.
- Configuration development changes based on complete and approved specification details e.g., Fast Formulas.
- Configuration on continuous improvement projects (as needed).
- Develop system enhancements (Interfaces, Workflow, Reports, etc.)
- Crete new and maintain existing security roles, auto provisioning and/or permission lists.
- Design, develop, tests, and workflows.
- Schedule database refreshes (example: Production to Test).
- Schedule and monitor system processes.
