Summary: The Camp Director is responsible to ensure SpringHill camp properties provide safe and quality experiences that through wise stewardship, advance the mission and purpose of the SpringHill Experience. The Camp Director's primary customer focus' are the SpringHill Experience Team, the SpringHill Development Team, Guest Group Partners, and the SpringHill camp operations team.
Mission & Methods: Lead the camp community to ensure the health, safety and security of all guests and staff at camp (physically, emotionally and spiritually) while demonstrating and teaching SpringHill's mission statement and core values.
Job Responsibilities Through 6 pillars of Camp Operations
Spiritual Formation: Intentionally provide opportunities for staff to grow deeper in their relationship with Jesus.
· Demonstrate a deep relationship with Jesus, commitment to spiritual formation and understanding of their personal ministry to others.
· With support from supervisor, develop an annual personal spiritual growth plan for yourself and ensure that all staff are developing an annual spiritual growth plan.
· Foster an environment where camp staff have opportunities for ongoing spiritual development, including execution of their personal spiritual growth plan.
· Call staff and volunteers to the common vision for individuals to encounter Jesus and know the truth of God's love for them.
· Lead in bible studies and spiritual growth opportunities for camp staff in regular events.
Attentive Hospitality: Equip servant leaders who anticipate and respond to the needs of our guests, staff and vendors through Christ-like service.
· Establish a culture of service and facility preparation that anticipates guest needs and responds with professionalism through intentional decisions and systems.
· Demonstrate an understanding of hospitality as an essential role of every camp staff employee.
· Ensure a high level of safety is held in all aspects and areas of the camp environment which is crucial to provide health, safety, and security to our guests and staff.
· Create and maintain relationships with vendors, regulatory officials, and the outside camp community with the same level of attention that we give guests at camp.
· Partner with experience and development directors in order to produce a successful camping program.
Interpersonal Relationships: Help build relationships that reflect the character of God with guests, staff, vendors and neighbors to foster healthy community.

· Ensure camp staff demonstrate the importance of their interpersonal relationships with guests, staff, vendors and neighbors and promote a healthy community.
· Effectively lead department managers.
· Build and equip a team that reflect the body of Christ.
· Collaborate with the executive team and leadership team on all matters involving use of the camp as an environment where the gospel is proclaimed.
· Participate with the executive and leadership teams in creating missional and camp specific training events and team opportunities.
Comprehensive Stewardship: Manage with integrity the finances, people, buildings and equipment that have been entrusted to our ministry.
· Manage comprehensive stewardship in partnership with the Executive Team.
· Ensure facilities and camp activities meet local, state and ACA regulatory standards and build healthy relationships with regulatory officials
· Ensure staff are being developed and equipped to participate in comprehensive stewardship of our ministry.
· Responsible for revenues and expenditures in alignment with SpringHill's financial policies and procedures.
· Responsible for capital improvement and construction projects, ensuring they meet internal and external requirements
· Execute the camp's business planning cycle with guidance from the COO.
· Partner with mission leadership to determine fundraising priorities and funds for the further capital development of the camp. This includes the cultivation and maintenance of donor relationships in collaboration with SpringHill's development team.
Talent Development: Through a consistent and accountable evaluation process, we identify and provide opportunities for staff in continuing education, leadership development, career-pathing and cross-training.
· Demonstrate a desire to grow through engagement in the Individual Development Plan process and participation in training and development opportunities.
· Foster camp staff participation in the Individual Development Plan process as well as other training and development opportunities.
· Identify and develop staff suitable for additional leadership opportunities.
· Intentionally pursue opportunities in mission leadership, personal growth, and development.
· Execute the recruitment, hiring and onboarding process for building a diverse and qualified camp team.
· Ensure completion and documentation of annual performance evaluations and salary reviews with all staff.
· Ability and willingness to travel over the course of the year for development and leadership within the Mission at least quarterly.

· Ensure camp planning and operations are consistent with the SpringHill Board and Operations department policies and within the standards and metrics required for excellence.

· Cast vision and set the pace for a healthy attitude and commitment to continuous improvement of the camp environment.
· Ensure the creation of environments that represent the multi-faceted love of God through the quality of facilities and the camp experience.

Qualifications
Education
· A Bachelor's degree, or equivalent, is required.
Requirements:
· 5-7 years of management and supervisory experience with a proven track record of leading teams.
· Demonstrate thorough knowledge and effective involvement in ministry.
· Has proven leadership and relationship skills required to build a high-performing trusting team, communicate effectively, delegate responsibility and offer accountability.
· Because of the intense leadership requirements of the Camp Director, candidates must be able and willing to relocate to within a 30 minute drive of the camp property.
· Demonstrate operational disciplines including prioritizing, analyzing data, and developing and executing systems.
· Proficiency in an office setting using; . PC based Windows operating systems . MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, etc.) . Knowledge of Google Suite tools (Gmail, Docs, Sheets, etc.) helpful . Competently operate office equipment (Phone/Fax/Copy Machines, etc.)
