We're searching for a Tooling Technician for a great client of ours in the Grand Rapids area!
Purpose of Job:
Repairs and maintains paint tooling, details and carriers.
Essential Job Functions and Performance Standards:
- Performs a variety of projects as directed by the Automation / Paint Manager, which may include but not limited to maintenance, various issues within the paint line, repairs (incl. welding) and assistance with repairs throughout the facility regarding tooling.
- Dis-assembles and re-assembles carriers, racks and details for pre and post cleaning and/or burn off. Schedules burn-off pick-up and returns.
- Loads and unloads carriers, racks and details for cleaning and/or burn off from the paint line and load and unloading from the truck(s)
- Organizes and inventories paint racks, carriers and other area supplies (preferably using Excel documents)
- Complies with safety regulations and maintains clean and orderly work areas · Assist with additional projects as directed

Requirements:
Education: Minimum
- High School diploma or GED
Licenses/Certificates: N/A
Experience: Minimum
- 1 year mechanical and welding Preferred
- 2 – 3 years mechanical and welding
Skills:
- Ability to handle multiple tasks
- Ability to read, write and follow instructions in the English language
- Must be detail oriented and organized
- Must be able to work independently
- Basic Computer skills including, the specific software programs: Windows, Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint
