Under the direction of the Senior Vice President and Vice President, the Head of Sales is responsible for leading Sales operations, customer service, commercial strategy, and business development for Michigan Spring and Stamping.
Current targeted key measures for this position include:
RESPONSIBILITIES
Works as part of the management team to ensure alignment of Sales department to the direction and goals of the company.
Manages customer relationships both directly and through subordinates in sales department.
Provides support and guidance to the sales and customer service team for complex and/or challenging topics with customers such as price negotiations, VA/VE requests, capacity discussions, etc.
In collaboration with engineering, manages quotation process from start to finish. Prices products based on company direction and goals. Ensures prioritization and timely completion of quotations.
Identifies, develops, and manages, key strategic relationships with current and potential new customers.
Is knowledgeable about the production capabilities and technologies utilized by the company.
Analyzes market for trends in supplied industries and identifies growth opportunities.
Makes use of available data (e.g., sales volume, margin, RFQs received) to offer suggestions for growth and improvement.
Must meet quality standards of the position
Other duties as assigned.
Must follow all policies and procedures regarding environmental, health and safety while striving towards minimizing energy and material use.
Requirements
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Business.
10+ years of sales experience in metal forming.
5+ years of management experience with direct reports.
