DescriptionPOSITION SUMMARY
This position functions as a key part of the senior client service leadership team that coordinates all client interactions and expands Xtend product offerings. The VP of Accounting is the lead specialist in the assigned credit union discipline of accounting and bookkeeping operations. In this role they will work with Xtend teams to teach, support, and consult on credit union operations and the solutions that the CUSO provides.
In addition, this position is responsible for developing a portfolio of professional services in their assigned discipline, to go beyond supporting Xtend programs toward becoming directly involved in credit union operations through consulting, outsourced leadership, working with CU*Answers, CU*South, CU*Northwest offerings, etc. In this role, the VP of Accounting is a leader as well as the hands-on consultant.
This role is also responsible for Xtend franchise-like operations with cuasterisk.com affiliates. The VP of Accounting, along with the other Vice Presidents within the organization, share the goal of expanding our interactions with cuasterisk.com partners.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
1. Coordinate internal team members to deliver quality client service for general Xtend product offerings as well as specialized Xtend Professional Managed Services.
2. Work with credit union staff and management to maximize the credit union's return on both general product offerings as well as specialized professional services.
3. Evaluate general product offerings and work with the members of the internal Xtend team, as well as the cuasterisk.com community of offerings.
4. Evaluate opportunities for Professional Services Management (consulting, third-party relationships, new products and services) and work with Xtend CEO to expand PSM revenues and offerings.
5. Supervise and direct reports as applicable.
6. Work closely with cuasterisk.com affiliates in supporting their general CU*BASE products offerings as well as partnering on PSM initiatives for their networks.
7. Expand on product offering documentation to create a broader set of "how to" credit union operational guides.
8. Other duties as assigned.
JOB SPECIFICATIONS
1. High School graduate or equivalent is required.
2. Four-year degree in business-related field or equivalent work experience is required.
3. Proven experience and skill in leading and developing people.
4. Experience in working effectively with technical personnel.
5. Extensive knowledge of credit union operations, regulations and procedures.
6. Excellent verbal and written communications skills with an ability to work closely with credit union senior management, third party vendors, and principals of potential Xtend business partners.
7. Ability to use discretion when dealing with sensitive or confidential data.
8. Ability to travel frequently to client sites to provide support, consultative services, and co-develop new strategic initiatives.
9. Extensive experience in selling and marketing data processing and software products to the credit union/banking industry.
10. Experience developing and implementing long-term sales and marketing strategies.
11. Ability to juggle multiple projects simultaneously.
12. Self-directed, able to take initiative.
