Director of Business Intelligence - Berrien Springs (Full-Time)
SUMMARY:
Responsible for the strategic leadership and development of the Business Intelligence Team driving data initiatives and decisions by providing robust analytical reports and data-driven recommendations.
Oversees and owns the direction and implementation of the data strategy and roadmap.
Collaborates with leaders of the organization to design data solutions that deliver impactful insights, shape decisions, address challenges and realize new opportunities.
Provides recommendations and direction on new data sources, tools and processes expanding the use of analytics to help optimize decisions and to help better understand how to serve our members.
Combines business acumen, analytical expertise and knowledge of the financial industry to lead the Business Intelligence Team to develop data-driven recommendations, actions, reports, visualizations and models in turn empowering leaders of the organization to make data-driven decisions.
Serves as the main liaison to the Database Administrator as well as the collaborative liaison between the Business Intelligence Team and Leadership Team.
Provides leadership, coaching, overseeing projects, setting goals, prioritization and performance check-ins for the Business Intelligence Team.

EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION: A college degree is required. Bachelor's degree in Finance, Mathematics, statistics, Accounting, Information Systems or a related field is required; or an equivalent combination of training and work experience.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE: Knowledge of database tools and structures. Must also have a strong conceptual knowledge of data warehousing and BI systems and processes.
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: Five to eight years of similar or related experience is required. Experience leading and developing an analytics team. Must also have an understanding of Power BI, SQL and Excel as well as experience in building dashboards.
