Position Overview: The Pharmacist-In-Charge is responsible for supporting the day-to-day operations including participating in the workflow, customer service, compliance, stakeholder (patients, physicians, community) communication/education, etc. The PIC position entails responsibility and knowledge in support of pharmacy programs and goals. Working knowledge and most importantly, a desire to learn critical aspects of community pharmacy practice including legal, regulatory and contractual obligations, quality assurance, clinical skills, supervision, reimbursement components, a passion to contribute to the lives of our patients with excellent customer service, superb pharmaceutical knowledge/clinical skills, provision of education and keen oversight of the medication regimen and adherence issues to achieve the optimal outcomes is a must. The PIC will have the desire to be part of a growing team with longevity, commitment and integrity coupled with passionate patient care.
Position Responsibilities: Prepare prescriptions as part of the workflow process, supervision of pharmacy staff, ensure compliance with all Board of Pharmacy regulations, demonstrate fiscal responsibility, ensure that each customer (patients, physicians, employees, etc.) is treated with respect and compassion, support daily workflow efficiencies including staying on top of workflow throughout the day, participate in fiscal management including oversight/ensuring appropriate reimbursement and be passionate, motivated and have the desire to help patients and serve others always.
Candidate Requirements: MI licensed pharmacist, ideally with experience as a PIC
Job Type: Full-time, Monday through Friday
Schedule: 8-hour shift
