Position Title: Project Manager
Reports To: Supply Chain Manager
Supervises: None
Classification: Salaried, exempt, non-union
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

- Serves as liaison between customers and other key contributors, including but not limited to Sales, Manufacturing, Engineering, and Quality to ensure accurate and timely order fulfillment
- Manages orders and effectively communicates timelines to Manufacturing Team, and order status to the Sales Team and customers
- Issues purchase orders to vendors for outsourced items
- Ensures the purchase orders match customer quotation
- Maintains and manages customer timeframes and deliverables
- Effectively collaborates with the Manufacturing Team members to set priorities
- Monitors project status and provides resolutions when necessary
- Demonstrates proficiency in understanding the Company’s products, services and certifications to effectively meet customer’s needs
- Leads project review after initial production
- Works with authorized employees from all departments to provide purchasing support including researching suppliers, price comparisons, obtaining quotes, creating, and issuing purchase orders, tracking purchases while in-route, and receiving items in Plex
- Compiles information needed to make a purchase (specifications, preferred or past vendors, pricing expectations, due date, quantity, purpose of purchase).
- Makes credit card purchases as necessary, using company credit card
- Tracks purchases and provide status updates to the relevant individual/departments
- Works with Shipping/Receiving staff as deliveries are received and ensure ordering party receives the item(s) in a timely manner
- Develops and maintains relationships with suppliers, including negotiating contracts and price agreements as appropriate

- Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent and at least two years of related experience and/or equivalent education & experience
- Previous experience in manufacturing is highly desired, forging industry preferred
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook
- Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to lead cross-functional teams
- Previous experience using CRM/ERP tools preferred
- Demonstrated problem solving skills and excellent organizational and communication skills
- Ability to multi-task
- Position is required to be on-site, occasional work from home with supervisor approval is available

Working Conditions:
This position is designed to work full-time. Days and hours of work are typically Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. An alternate schedule may be arranged or assigned based on the business demands, nature of duties performed, and other factors. Occasional flexibility to work evenings or weekends may be required as job responsibilities demand. Regular work, after hours and/or weekend work may be performed remotely, if the capability exists. Little to no travel is expected for this position. This position mainly operates in an office environment during work hours, but may be expanded to assist and support employees in other departments within the Company; Occasional exposure to production equipment and machinery. The employee will manage multiple priorities daily and may be interrupted frequently to meet the needs and requests of employees. The environment may be busy and noisy. All required personal protective equipment is provided.
Physical Demands:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee will spend most of his/her time sitting using computers and standard office equipment such as phones, photocopiers and fax machines. Occasional moving and/or lifting of 10 pounds, stooping, bending and reaching with hands and arms. While performing these job duties, the employee is regularly required to see, talk, and hear.
