About this Opportunity
As manager of MillerKnoll's Business Intelligence team, you will lead the team responsible for supporting MillerKnoll in continuing to use data to drive decisions and will be the link between data and the business, providing direction to data engineers on data models, developing data visualization, reports and working with the business to educate, advise and enhance reporting capabilities and analytical insights. This role will allow you to interact and work across many areas of our B2B and B2C organization with opportunities to learn about different areas of the business as well as to be creative in how you are able to drive value and show impact.

What You'll Do

Analyzes datasets via SQL to unravel data integrity issues and help troubleshoot data problems.
Assigns, monitors, reviews progress and accuracy of tasks, deliverables, projects, and timelines.
Assists in administrative tasks to maintain Business Intelligence platforms.
Be a self-service advocate.
Builds and develops a strong team; distributes the workload equitably.
Develops business partnerships, enables access to their data, and helps educate and turn insights into action.
Develops data visualizations/dashboards/reports.
Gathers and refines reporting requirements from business stakeholders.
Identifies individual team member career development needs and resources/ activities to address them.
Leads the integration of new technologies or Digital initiatives; may lead large projects.
Manages small to medium project budgets; accountable for expenses.
Plans and coordinates user acceptance test (UAT) for BI/Reporting solution while collaborating with the business stakeholders and product owners.
Provides direction to the business on how to evolve current capabilities.
Provides training and documentation to increase the development of self-service capabilities and the businesses understanding.
Supports data engineering with requirements to support data modeling and metadata layer.
Works with the data team to communicate suggestions for continuous improvements in data quality and management.

You might be just who we're looking for if you have . . .
Bachelor's Degree Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or relevant academic discipline strongly preferred; Master's Degree preferred.
Minimum 3 years of project leadership experience.
Minimum 3 years of management or team leadership experience.
Certification in a dashboarding tool preferred..
Advanced in SQL.
Experience in developing dynamic and parameterized reports and dashboards that renders per business inputs.
Experience in developing custom calculations in reports, dashboards leverage pre-defined date, string, mathematical and statistical functions.
Experience with performance tuning of reports, dashboards and SQL queries by analyzing various dependent parameters.
Experience using other data visualizing or reporting platforms a plus (such as BO, Looker, Qlik, PowerBI, Tableau).
Ability to lead an IT project team.
Demonstrated experience in designing and developing insightful business dashboard and reports.
A problem solver who can visualize business user problems and devise creative BI solutions with the least resistant path.
A passion for data and ways to visualizing it.
Knowledge of current retail landscape, trends associated and business models that are influencing retail market a plus.
Demonstrated outstanding written/verbal communication skills, and a proven capability to present complex concepts in a concise and understandable way.
Reflects high ownership and accountability for assigned project, tasks and meeting tight timelines.
Exceptional problem-solving skills, and ability to communicate to both technical and non-technical audience.
