Responsibilities and Position Purpose
Monitors the premise to help create a safe environment and enjoyable experience for patrons, artists, guests and employees.
Example of Duties- Average percent of time
55% Monitor and authorize entrance and departure of employees, visitors, and other persons to guard against theft and maintain security of premises. Operate detecting devices to screen individuals and prevent passage of prohibited articles into restricted areas.
25% Patrol premises to prevent and detect signs of intrusion and ensure security of doors, windows, and gates.
15% Escort or drive motor vehicle to transport individuals to specified locations or to provide personal protection.
10% Write reports of daily activities and irregularities such as equipment or property damage, theft, presence of unauthorized persons, or unusual occurrences
5% Other tasks as assigned by the Security Manager

Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent required plus any Security/Law Enforcement experience preferred. Guard Card a plus.
Must be at least 21 years of age.
Good working knowledge of security operations, safety practices in a business environment and enforcement procedures.
Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing with staff and the public, to understand and follow standard operating procedures
Ability to perform duties in a professional manner and appearance, to write and investigate required reports; to make independent and good judgment decisions within proper policy and procedures
