Job Qualifications
Education, Training, and Licensure/Certification
- Sixty college credit hours, preferably in a human services related field, with four years’ experience providing direct services to refugees and asylees. Or,
- Bachelor’s degree in human services related field with two years’ experience providing direct services to refugees and asylees.
Experience

- Prior supervisory experience is preferred.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Knowledge of program development, administration, and staff supervision.
- Knowledge of Department of Human Services policies and procedures related to refugee services.
- Must function independently, have flexibility, personal integrity and ability to work effectively with clients, family members, staff, superiors and agencies.
- Ability to solve a wide range of practical problems which involve multiple variables.
- Ability to understand, analyze and interpret basic contracts and financial reports.
- Ability to apply practical mathematical applications such as of percentages, ratio and proportion, and algebra.
- Ability to prepare business letters, summaries, and reports, using prescribed format and confirming to rules of punctuation, grammar, diction and style.
- Ability to effectively utilize various computer programs including spreadsheet application.
Additional Work Requirements
- Automobile travel required.
- Valid unrestricted driver’s license with good driving record. Reliable personal automobile with valid proof of automobile insurance.
