Roush is looking for a 3D Printing Technician to join our team. The 3D Printing Technician is responsible for operating and maintaining 3D printing machines and creating prototype parts. This is a day shift and is located at our customer site in Dearborn, MI.
As a 3D Printing Technician, you will be responsible for:
- Operating and maintaining various types of 3D printing machines
- Managing CAD data files for various parts and development stages
- Forming prototype parts with prototype materials including various plastics and composites
- Performing bench finishing work on parts formed through various processes
- Facilitating general lab operations as needed
- Managing workshop supplies and requesting replenishments as needed
To be considered as a 3D Printing Technician, you will need:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum 2 years of combined similar technician work experience and/or related education
- Understanding of CAD / GD&T and engineering drawings
- To setup, operate and maintain the 3D printing machinery
- To demonstrate strong computer skills, particularly file management
- To be detail-oriented, analytical, and well organized
- To be capable of interacting positively with multiple personality types in a dynamic lab environment
Preferred Qualifications:
- Ability to use TEBIS or CATIA software for reading/editing CAD drawings
- Associate’s degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school
- Knowledge of model making, mold making, metal fabrication, composites, or CNC machining
