Since it opened its doors in 1915, Henry Ford hospital has a reputation of providing for the growing needs of the community. From its 48-patient capacity start, growth and expansion throughout the last century has morphed Henry Ford Hospital into an 877-bed tertiary care center, Level I Trauma Center, and one of the largest teaching hospitals in the United States. Henry Ford previously had an impressive training program that has produced several leaders in our field. Currently, we are working to re-establish a 6-year integrated dual-degree training program, affiliated with Wayne State University. Currently, we are interested in hiring an energetic, enthusiastic, talented surgeon to join our faculty and be involved in this residency building process.
In addition to residency building responsibilities, attendings in Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery at Henry Ford Hospital will have the opportunity to practice full scope hospital-based surgery with regular on call responsibilities. Attendings will have an opportunity to develop a faculty practice in a brand new state of the art facility in Royal Oak, Michigan, will have responsibilities to cover resident clinics at the University of Detroit Mercy Dental School, and will be eligible for promotion to professorship at Wayne State University.

Candidates considered for the position must be Board Eligible or Board Certified by the American Board of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeons and must be able to secure a Michigan State Dental and Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery License prior to their appointments.
