Senior Accountant
Do you enjoy wearing many hats within a small company? We are seeking an experienced accountant who can lead a team of one and lead all finance activities for the company.
Our client, a small business manufacturing company is seeking a Senior Accountant who can manage all aspects of financial statement preparation, cash maintenance including cash flow forecasting, fixed assets and much more! The ideal candidate will have experience wearing many hats, involvement with the day-to-day accounting functions and report to the owner of the organization.
Senior Accountant Job Responsibilities:
Independently prepare monthly financial statements
Reconcile and maintain fixed assets
Closely monitor multiple bank accounts including cash forecasting and cash flow analysis
Reconcile balance sheet accounts on a monthly basis
Identify and recommend any areas that need attention on the financial statements including building cost savings and efficiencies
Process bi-weekly payroll and maintain benefits information
Requirements
Requirements:
5+ years of overall general accounting experience, ideally with Big 4 experience
Proficiency with corporate performance management (CPM) and business intelligence systems required
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
SOX internal control assessments (Section 404) experience
Accounting experience in publicly-traded company a plus
BA/BS or higher in Accounting, CPA credentials are preferred
Ability to work well in matrix organization and dealing with ambiguity
Vow to meet business deadlines
Skilled with ERP systems
Strong analytical skills, with the ability to exercise good judgment and make decisions based on accurate and timely analysis
Fixed assets experience highly preferred
Demonstrated knowledge of Year-end Financial Statements
Foundational knowledge in Balance Sheet Reconciliation
Practical knowledge of fixed assets
Expense Variance Analysis experience highly desired
Adeptness in Investigate Variance
Knowledge of Cash Flow Forecasts
Financial Statement experience desired
Background working with Asset Inventory
General familiarity with benefits payroll
Deep understanding of cash flow statements
Takes action on items beyond formal job responsibilities
Strong attention to detail
Strong time management skills preferred
