Waltonen is actively seeking a Project manager to join our team.
Monitoring, directing, and controlling government service programs. Will be able to assist with the cost, schedule, and performance of the project.
Directing a focused program, including strategic planning, analyzing the program activities, and establishing goals
Responsible for planning and directing a group of individuals and monitoring their work and take corrective actions when necessary.
Ensures risks are properly managed and mitigated against to avoid becoming issues. Risk management is critical to project success. Create a robust process for the identification, management and mitigation of risk.
Qualifications:
The Project Manager must have strong practical experience in project management, which was gained by managing complex government-related projects
Knowledge and handling of project management methodology and techniques
Technical ability and understanding
Ability to work positively with the wide range of individuals involved in program management;
Requires strong leadership and people skills. As well as a strong management discipline and communication skills
The ability to find innovative ways to resolve problems
Communication with customers and team members
Strong negotiation skills
Experience with contract language; writing technical statements of work
Familiarity with government IMS and CDRL
Expertise utilizing Microsoft suite including Microsoft Projects
Willingness to travel as necessary
Knowledge of budgeting and resource allocation procedures
