Electronic Security Systems powered by LaForce has an opening for a full-time CAD Operator. Electronic Security Systems is a leader in security integration with products such as access control, video surveillance automatic door operators and intelligent electrified hardware.
As a CAD Operator, you will work closely with our engineers to:
- Work with architectural floor plans and to add devices to the plans
- Create wire riser diagrams from hand drawings using templates
- Take hand drawings and place on Model Space then create multiple drawings in Paper Space
- Create Blocks to be used on current and future drawings
- Plot out and assemble diagrams for approvals or for field use
- Cross train in other areas to expand understanding of electrical concepts
- Develop an understanding of security system products and concepts
Requirements:
- AutoCAD experience with 2D drawings required; 3D experience a plus
- Knowledge of electrical concepts preferred
- Strong computer skills including Microsoft Excel and Word
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to trouble shoot and problem solve
- Self-starter with the ability to work independently in a deadline driven environment
- High school degree required; associates degree in computer aided drafting preferred.
- 2-3 years of CAD experience preferred
- Ability to work overtime as required
