Position Summary:
Assists Plant Controller in multiple areas of accounting, including inventory control, variance analysis, sales analysis, account reconciliation’s, cost analysis and month-end closing. Prepare daily, monthly, and quarterly reports as needed.
Responsibilities:
- Perform work in a safe manner following all EH&S procedures and reporting EH&S concerns.
- Prepares monthly account reconciliations to ensure current and accurate balances
- Monitors/Reconciles inventory cycle count program and researches significant count variances
- Works with plant personnel to ensure proper accounting codes are used on purchase orders
- Prepares daily, weekly and monthly reports on sales, production and labor hours
- Assist with data collection to support budgets and forecasts
- Prepares journal entries to support month-end close
- Prepares month-end corporate statements (inventory, variances, sales/cost of sales activity)
- Prepares monthly reporting package distributed to managers
- Performs audit on annual standard cost revision; tests new standard costs for accuracy
- Analyzes PPV/freight for proper accounting
- Assist with annual physical inventory, if necessary
- Assist with part number creation and calculating standard costs
- Assist with actual to standard variance analysis

- Support and participate in corporate initiatives that improve overall business functions as needed such as lean, EH&S, etc
