The Senior Special Investigator has responsibility for internal investigations in the US and Canada and supports investigations in other regions as requested. This role is part of the global Compliance, Ethics, and Integrity Office Special Investigation team with responsibility to conduct investigations of allegation(s) of violation of company policies and unethical behavior. We require individuals with the highest integrity who can work independently to conduct investigations and mitigate risk to the Company. We investigate issues throughout the Company, which provides this position insight into all aspects of the business.
What you'll be able to do:
Assesses allegations and properly scopes and conducts investigations. Ability to do so independently or as a team.
Routinely engage with leadership and cross functional teams. Ability to effectively deliver difficult or unpopular messages with diplomatic, solution-oriented approach.
Ongoing collaboration with SI management to develop investigation strategy and workplan to ensure that investigations are completed timely.
Provide timely and well synthesized investigation reporting and updates to management.
Collaborates with key stakeholders including the Office of General Counsel, People Matters, General Auditor's Office, Internal Controls and others during the investigation and remediation phases.
Supports remediation both internally and externally as needed.
Provides accurate and timely updates in case reporting system (RSA Archer GRC)
The minimum requirements we seek:
Bachelor's degree
5+ years of Investigation experience in consulting, audit, finance, human resources, compliance, or legal
3+ years of experience conducting internal investigations and managing an investigations portfolio.
Our preferred requirements:
Preference for experience at a multi-national corporation and working with a global team.
Professional experience and knowledge of the appropriate, tailored investigation procedures, including investigative interviews and communication with complainants.
Strong organization skills and ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize changing workloads.
Proficient in performing email review and other data analysis of collected information when necessary. Familiarity with Relativity is a plus.
Experience with fraud, forensic accounting, third-party risk management, human resources, conflicts of interest, and theft investigations.
Experience analyzing and reporting data in order to identify issues, trends, or exceptions to drive improvement of results and find solutions.
Experience establishing and maintaining relationships with individuals at all levels of the organization as well as external parties.
Understanding the various compliance, legal and regulatory issues that could affect and organization and connection to the compliance and legal community.
Experience evaluating information to determine compliance with company policies and procedures, laws, and regulations.
Experience with project management (planning, organizing, and managing resources to bring about the successful completion of a specific project goals and objectives).
Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office suite, specifically Word, Excel and PowerPoint, is required.
