The position of Director, Enterprise Data & Advanced Analytics will report to Executive Director, Innovation and Analytics, and will focus on the execution of the data and analytics strategy and the data governance program for the organization; enhancing business value derived from data through strong analytics capabilities, data governance and stewardship. The position will proactively champion the value of consistent and useful information as a strategic business asset by providing the organization guidance and oversight in the development and delivery of enterprise-wide solutions for complex data challenges as well as establishing and maintaining principles, standards, procedures, and accountability for information (data) stewardship across the organization.
The position will be responsible for partnering with the business and IT Leaders in identifying business processes and functional areas that can benefit from advanced data capabilities. It will drive the development and deployment of the data and analytics platform. Director Data and Analytics will educate the organization on the power and value of data. The selected candidate will lead and serve on steering committees and help the leadership use its data effectively. (S)he will lead the current state assessment of master data and the creation of future state master data constructs; to modernize, simplify and improve the quality and integrity of Adient data. This position will have oversight over all aspects of the execution of projects and services in the Enterprise Data & Advanced Analytics area. This includes oversight of the alignment of timelines, process mapping, solution design and construction, testing, training, implementation, stabilization, and project closing for all initiatives within the function´s portfolio. This role is also responsible for maintaining process integrity and standardization.
This position requires an experienced leader who can partner effectively with all levels of the organization, influence others, drive results, proactively identify and resolve problems, and make challenging decisions. It also requires proficient knowledge in analytics, data management and portfolio management to work closely with partners, including but not limited to business unit and business function customers, representatives, and third-party providers.
Scope of activities:
Drive the implementation of the data and analytics strategy.
Work with key business partners to understand business priorities, identify strategic initiatives, and develop effective and timely analytic solutions.
Lead a portfolio of advanced analytics projects directly and in a matrix environment through a project management capacity.
Assist with establishing a strategic vision, implementation roadmap and communication plan for Master Data Governance that is aligned with the overall strategic vision for Adient.
Research and understand technology and non-technology trends in data and analytics.
Drive MDM and data governance adoption across Adient.
Provide oversight in the design and deployment of a master data governance framework, with a focus on improving data quality and the protection of sensitive data.
Evaluate and drive data management processes (i.e. define best practices and processes to support efficiencies within master data management).
In collaboration with business leadership and IT leadership, lead the implementation of data policies, controls, and programs to ensure the enterprise data is accurate, complete, secure and reliable.
Lead a team focused on the development and engagement of talented subject matter experts/leaders, build competency within the team and a strategy to deploy data know-how throughout the broader enterprise
Develop and maintain controls on data quality, interoperability, and sources to effectively manage risk associated with the use of data and analytics.
Provide oversight in the evaluation of appropriate tools & technology to support the MDM strategy.
Implement an ITIL approach to Service Delivery Management; manage to SLA and KPIs.
Drive a culture of continuous improvement through measurement and optimization consistently evaluate current practices and recommend improvements to managing master data, maintaining integrity and decreasing cycle times.
Strive to reduce the cost of managing data and increase the value of the data.
Responsible for interacting with and influencing key global stakeholders to educate, build consensus, make decisions, and execute plans and programs that utilize and support master data standards.
Engage with customers and other stakeholder groups, as necessary, to foster productive relationships and move forward through the change journey at the appropriate pace to ensure successful execution of the plan.
Oversee the delivery of training and support to end users and assist in providing change management to the organization.
