Description OfficeTeam is working with a client in the Healthcare/NHS industry to place a dynamic, self-motivated and organized Mailroom Assistant with them. As the Mailroom Assistant at this thriving company, you'll be responsible for receiving and sorting mail and packages in a centralized room before distributing the items to appropriate departments and individuals. Responsibilities
Minimize assembly errors by maintaining an organized work station
Give assistance to employees complete diverse projects as necessary
Handle clerical tasks like word processing, filing, scanning, archiving, and faxing
Ledger, cluster, and/or distribute mail and packages
Care for optimal machine performance by troubleshooting simple problems (clearing jams, refilling toner, replacing machine oil, etc.)
Retrieving data within allotted time frames
Attain and sort all incoming mail and packages from various carriers
Produce high volume of letters, memoranda, invoices, and other indexed documents within specified guidelines
Put mail processing equipment to use Requirements - Full comprehension of mail processing at organizational level
Adept handling office equipment
1+ years of prior experience working in a high-volume mailroom setting
Able to manage time well
Ability and willingness to meet business critical deadlines
- High school diploma or equivalent
Expertise in Mail Packages
Outgoing Mail Packages experience
Strong familiarity with mailrooms
Solid understanding of mail processing
Administrative Office experience highly desired
