General Information: Helen Newberry Joy Hospital is seeking a highly competent and motivated individual to serve as Mammography Tech
Position: Mammography Tech
Job Status: Call In; varied hours
Salary: Hourly $26.06 - $33.59
Required Skills:
Ability to demonstrate competency in required skills; understanding and implementing of patients' rights.
Ability to remain calm, be courteous, diplomatic, and tactful when interacting with others.
Ability to prioritize tasks.
Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Responsible for patient safety protocols.
Qualifications:
Candidate must be able to operate digital mammography equipment to produce high quality diagnostic images for both screening and diagnostic exams. Work alongside the radiologist with diagnostic workup, when applicable. Transfer images and patient information to PACs for radiologist retrieval. Follow MQSA guidelines. Ability to obtain patient history and educate patients regarding exams and equipment to ensure their understanding. Properly use the mammography tracking program for reminder and follow-up processes. Complete quality assurance process as needed.
