ENTRY REQUIREMENTS
Ph.D. in clinical psychology from an APA-approved clinical psychology program and completion of an APA-approved internship.
License to practice clinical psychology in Michigan.
Experience working with an interdisciplinary team.
Documented experience working with patients coping with occupational issues, chronic pain issues, and physical challenges.
Valid, unrestricted license to practice in the State of Michigan.
ORGANIZATION
Works independently and receives direction from the Medical Directors of the Pain Management Program.
Collaborates primarily with the Nurse Manager with input from the Medical Director it relates to the specific duties in the areas.
SPECIFIC DUTIES

Has basic understanding of Relationship-Based Care (RBC) principles, meets expectations outlined in Commitment To My Co-workers, and supports RBC unit action plans.
Uses effective customer service/interpersonal skills at all times.
Responsible for participating as a part of the designated inter/multi disciplinary team.
Responsible for attending scheduled Patient Care Conferences and Chart Rounds.
Responsible for administering required psychological and neuropsychological testing as ordered by the patient's physician (i.e., MMPI, Neuro-Psych testing) and MADRC research protocols.
Assists the designated directors in establishing a charge structure for outpatient services and assists in assigning appropriate CPT codes.
Documents progress notes according to established criteria.
Maintains established office hours in clinic with scheduled availability throughout the week.
Participates in weekly team meetings with the Clinical Staff and Providers.
Provides individual, familial, couple and group psychotherapy to patients under the order of a physician.
Provides support to staff as needed.
Participates in the development of treatment plans and the coordination of post-hospitalization treatment (i.e., referrals, etc).
Actively markets outpatient psychological services and assists in developing new opportunities for growth.
Responsible for carrying out projects identified by the designated Directors.
Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
