Position Description : Henry Ford Health's (HFH) Center for Health Policy and Health Services Research seeks applicants for multiple positions at the rank of Assistant or Associate Scientist. The ideal candidate will have expertise in health services, implementation science, big data science, health policy research or health economics. At least one position will focus on health policy research or health economics. To qualify for this position, the individual must have a PhD, MD or equivalent degree; post-doctoral research experience (min. 2 years); evidence of scholarly activity (publication of papers in peer-reviewed journals); potential to be an independent and externally-funded investigator. Research Bioscientific Staff are expected to obtain NIH or other funding; publish papers in peer-reviewed journals; report data at scientific meetings; participate in academic activities, (i.e. NIH study sections, editorial boards); and participate in HFHS research activities.
HFH Center for Health Policy and Health Services Research is a core member of the Health Care Systems Research Network. The Center works collaboratively with clinical, administrative, and research departments across all areas of the health system and the nation. Scientists conduct a wide range of studies using all types of research designs, including trials, prospective studies, and large observational studies within Henry Ford and across our participating clinical and research networks. In addition, this position will be enhanced through the Henry Ford Health + Michigan State University Health Sciences Center.
The Center: The Center for Health Policy and Health Services Research seeks to discover the underlying causal relationships that affect the effectiveness and efficiency of health care services.
