Position Summary: The Performance and Racing Sales Representative is responsible for handling customer inquiries for Sachs Performance and ZF Racing parts on the North American market.
Position Responsibilities:
Receive inquiries via phone, email, or online and provide pricing and availability information.
Enter Sachs Performance and ZF Racing catalogue parts orders for dealers and end users into internal databases.
Monitor inventory levels to ensure a balanced inventory consistent with the requirements of the service department, dealer network and end users.
Develop and support sales partner and find new sales partners.
Schedule and trigger shipments to the customers.
Handle customer complaints.
Assist in the collection of past-due accounts.
Provide a prompt, efficient, and timely flow of paperwork and reporting.
Working on improvements of the internal material flow process.
Create and manage distribution of all invoices for department on a weekly/monthly basis (Average: 3-6 hours per week)
Manage and confirm that all payment detail for all new customers/existing customers is accounted for.
Strategize, plan, and create posts on the ZF Motorsport social media channels for ZF Race NA. (Monthly races, New product releases)
Investigate potential new race sponsorships (Roush Fenway/RCR/NASCAR) and evaluate sponsorships offered from potential partners and see if there is a possible business case that could be created.
Prepare, plan, execute marketing events - SEMA, PRI. Responsibilities include show car planning (logistics/car selection and availability), preparing display parts, marketing material, and fan/customer engagement activity (Racing Simulator)
Reach out and cold call potential new sales customers
Prepare and update sales proposal material (pricing/price lists, catalog, marketing material)
Administratively manage the whole on boarding process for any new customer.
Work with existing partners to see what their needs are and where they can expand their product line by utilizing our ZF products. (Sport Kits). Responsibilities include part look up/application check, procurement and availability of parts, price evaluation breakdown vs competitors pricing.
Follow up and monitor partner testing of proposed prototype part/kit
Update and maintain ZRENA system yearly/daily - New year change over, pricing, and inventory management (Manual Process).
Calculate sales price and purchase price from Germany for all parts not included on Germany's price list, then update our internal system and price list (Manual Process).
Essential Skills and Experience:
Associate's Degree in Business
0-3+ years of relevant experience
Proficient with Microsoft Office (e.g. Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Project etc.)
Good technical abilities in business composition and mathematics
Good analytical abilities with a high attention to detail
Proven ability to work independently in a fast paced, high-volume environment
Proven ability to interface with cross-functional teams and all levels of personnel and management
Solid organizational and time/project management skills
Experience with ERP-systems
*Ability/willingness to travel both domestically and internationally
Preferred Skills and experience:
Bachelor's Degree in Business, Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Economics or related field
Experience in the Automotive industry
German and/or Spanish language skills
