Title:
Maintenance Technician
KBR is seeking a Maintenance Technician to join our Team in Sterling Heights, Michigan.
Perform as a Maintenance Technician and possess skillsets to assist in data collection, technical manual review/development, and hands-on maintenance of U.S. Army equipment such as: Mine Resistant Ambush Protected (MRAP), Landing Craft Utility (LCU) and Light/Medium/Heavy Tactical Vehicles. Assist in preparing analytical reports and meeting minutes as required by area manager and/or customer.
Qualifying, specialized experience includes:
Have an automotive background and experience performing maintenance on U.S. Army vehicles.
Knowledge of HVAC components and repair.
Interpersonal skills in a team-based development environment.
Excellent written and oral communication skills.
Proficient in PC use with Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
Possess a general working knowledge of how the Army Supply System works.
Familiar with engineering change orders, equipment requisitions, shop orders, and work orders.
Basic Qualifications:
BA/BS degree plus zero to two years of experience.
In lieu of a degree, experience with the U.S. Army equipment maintenance is preferred.
Contract Requirements:
A HS Diploma plus zero to five years of relevant experience.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
The selected applicant should have knowledge and skills in maintenance, troubleshooting and repair of U.S. Army equipment.
The ideal candidate should also be familiar refrigeration systems.
A good working knowledge of word processing and integrated software applications, excellent communications skills; both written and verbal are desired.
Candidates must be a U.S. Citizen and be able to obtain a Common Access Card (CAC) and Security Clearance prior to start of work.
PREFERRED SKILLS:
Knowledge of working with and developing Maintenance Plans, Provisioning Parts Lists, Maintenance Task Analysis, Life Cycle Management, Maintenance Allocation Charts, Repair Parts and Special Tools Lists, and ETM/IETM development.
