The Associate Training Automation (ATA) team is seeking a Content Developer to develop world-class learning solutions for our customers worldwide. In this position, you will be a leader in ensuring Virtual Training content created by the Associate Content Team aligns with style guides, branding, and functions as intended. You will work with Instructional Designers on projects that utilize your expertise in learning theory, design quality, human performance, and human learning, to enhance the performance and learning experience of Amazonians.
Through your guidance and attention to detail you will ensure the learning products created by the Associate Content Team meet our high bar for quality, design, functionality and impact. As the acting gatekeeper for virtual training content you will enable improved experience, shorten lead times to proficiency, and provide performance support at the point of need. This includes working with Associate Training Automation teams to update style guides, reporting out to team members on common issues/updates, ensuring accessibility of content for all Associates, and giving clear feedback that is actionable.
Candidates should expect to work with multiple designers across ATA owning products impacting multiple business lines and countries. This will be a fast paced environment where innovation is encouraged and proactive planning is necessary.
This role may require travel up to 25%, as necessary.
* BA or BS degree in a relevant field such as business, education, organizational development, etc.
* 3+ years of work experience with solid career progression preferably in the field of training and development
* Experience using content management systems Basic HTML, Microsoft Word, Microsoft PowerPoint, Adobe Acrobat and Microsoft Excel
* Must be proficient in Storyline 360
* Strong written and verbal communication skills
* Ability to research, scope, prioritize, and lead multiple projects at the same time
* Experience publishing documents to Sharepoint and Shared Drives for network visibility.
* Ability to update Powerpoint and be able to convert to PDF.
* Understanding of how to set up processes for updating content.
* Master's degree in related field
* Experience designing or developing learning solutions a plus
* Learning Experience and understanding of associate training content preferred
* Experience in video design or editing
* Understanding of multiple facets of operations
* Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication abilities
* Demonstrated ability to lead and develop peers
* Exceptional ability to earn trust of subject matter experts and stakeholders
