Assistant Teacher Qualifications:
Must be at least 18 years old and be a positive caregiving role model for staff and children.
Must be able to pass a comprehensive background fingerprinting check.
Must have a high school diploma or GED Must have current CPR, First Aid, and Bloodborne Pathogen certification, or be willing to obtain certification upon hire. Must have a current and medically validated TB test or be willing to complete the test upon hire.
Must be reliable, punctual, and have dependable transportation.
Duties & Responsibilities.
Assist children with daily life tasks (diapering, toilet training, feeding, etc.)
To provide individual and small group care & instruction to infants, toddlers and preschool age children
To provide support and assistance for the lead teacher
To provide any assistance as required in making a successful, positive and nurturing environment for the children
To be responsible for the children’s safety at all times
Ability to demonstrate good judgment
Be comfortable sitting, standing, dancing, and playing with children
Engage in messy play-based fun daily
Able to work indoors or outdoors during all seasons
Must be comfortable helping children learn, engage and care for barnyard and classroom animals
