SUMMARY
Responsible for performing highly diversified duties to troubleshoot, repair and maintain company vehicles equipment according to safety, predictive and productive maintenance systems and processes to support the achievement of the site’s business goals and objectives.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Drive company truck with plow to clear all lots of snow / spread salt using a spreader. Perform highly diversified duties to maintain and repair as needed all company vehicles, including heavy trucks
- Maintain and repair as needed al Forklifts including, gas ,diesel, propane and electric
- Maintain and repair as needed scissor and boom lifts, electric and propane.
- Implement preventative maintenance system on all company vehicles and properly complete the necessary documentation.
- Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service.
- Utilize good judgment to determine the best method and necessary steps to complete repairs. Must possess the mechanical ability necessary to disassemble and reassemble the machine.
- Use a variety of hand and power tools, electric meters and material handling equipment in performing duties.
- Detect faulty operations, defective material and report those and any unusual situations to proper supervision.
- Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas.
- Perform all other duties as assigned or needed.
- Maintain confidentiality in all aspects of the job.

Most of the Maintenance Technician’s time is spent on the production floor. This employee is frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts and/or equipment, heights over 10’, loud noises, machining noise, warm temperatures, airborne particles, possible electrical shock, chemicals and fumes.

REQUIREMENTS
- Education preferred: High school diploma or GED equivalent and completion of a trade apprenticeship.
- Experience required: Minimum 4 years vehicle repair with apprenticeship OR 8 years experience without apprenticeship.
- Skills, knowledge or abilities: Read, write & speak the English language fluently. Ability to read electrical, mechanical and hydraulic schematics.

AUTHORITY
The MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN has the authority to fulfill the duties and responsibilities outlined above and any other authority that may be granted by the MAINTENANCE MANAGER or GENERAL MANAGER.
MEASUREMENT
- 100% adherence to supervisor instructions.
- 100% adherence to proper record keeping.
- 100% adherence to safety procedures at all times. Zero accidents or safety violations.
- Zero moving or other violations while driving.
- Maintenance of 1 or less points on driving record.
- Timely and accurate response to requests made by Department Heads, Plant Superintendent or fellow team members.
- Complete assignments at or before deadlines.
