Summary: Sells parts for products by performing the following duties.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Quotes prices and credit terms and prepares sales contracts for orders obtained.
- Conducts research and shares information with service, manufacturing and purchasing to identify old or unknown parts to provide a viable solution to the customers’ needs.
- Estimates date of delivery to customer, based on knowledge of own firm's production and delivery schedules; investigates and resolves customer problems with deliveries.
- Enters new customer data and other sales data for current customers into computer database.
- Tracks & processes back orders, notifying appropriate persons as to availability.
- Responds to requests for information from internal departments, such as Purchasing, Engineering, and Manufacturing.
- Adjusts complaints concerning billing or service rendered, referring complaints of service failures to designated departments for investigation.
- Good attendance is critical to performing this job well.
Supervisory Responsibilities: This job has no supervisory responsibilities.
Requirements

Education and/or Experience: Associate's degree (A.A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or 2 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Knowledge of Heat Treat Equipment, process gasses, process control instrumentation and PLC usage is desired.
Language Skills: Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, engineering drawings and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization. Strong communication skills and a professional demeanor to properly interact with customers.
Mathematical Skills: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
Reasoning Ability: Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
Computer Skills: To perform this job successfully, an individual should be able to learn the BPCS Manufacturing software and should have a basic understanding of MS Office.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: Valid driver’s license required.
Other Qualifications: Ability to learn how to read both electrical schematics and plumbing diagrams. Must be a self-starter and able to work independently.
