Basic Qualifications to Apply (must have)
- Class D municipal wastewater operator certification and industrial wastewater A-1d, A-1f, B-2a, C-3a, and C-3b are strongly preferred.
- Experience with activated sludge process control is strongly preferred.
- Live within a 35-mile radius of Grawn and Leland, MI.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule which includes working overtime, holidays, and weekends, and being on-call 24 hours a day for emergencies on a rotating basis.
- Must possess a valid MI driver’s license in good standing, also must maintain a license in good standing at all times to maintain employment.
This full-time position will cover the Materne Wastewater Treatment Plant located in Grawn, Michigan, and will assist the surrounding projects as needed. Duties will include but are not limited to; sample collection and laboratory analysis, control of chemical, biological and mechanical processes, mechanical troubleshooting, and maintenance, tending and maintaining process equipment, maintaining records and reporting, general housekeeping, and grounds maintenance.
The qualified candidate will have a mechanical aptitude and the ability to work in a physically demanding job that requires both indoor and outdoor work. The successful candidate will have a strong work ethic with experience that demonstrates the ability to work independently and interact effectively with co-workers, clients, and the public.
The starting wage for this position is $20.00 per hour but will be based on experience.
