Position Description
We are seeking a motivated, driven individual who is looking to accelerate their career growth within the largest privately-held rigid plastics manufacturer in North America. We are a growth-oriented organization, looking for an individual who would like broad exposure to the different facets of our manufacturing processes and ultimately, possesses the expertise to lead our sites by focusing on driving quality improvements throughout each location, using Statistical Process Controls and other Lean Six Sigma Quality tools.
Responsibilities:
Drive a culture of process control and variability reduction at the manufacturing locations
Assist in the maintenance and further development of QM module in SAP across the company
Work with the plants, process teams & IT to determine the key variables to track and monitor on our production lines.
Develop and reinforce standardized program for maintenance of automated production/in-line inspection systems.
Define specifications, work with 3rd party vendors to design & validate inline quality inspection systems.
Lead Process Improvement teams using Lean Six Sigma principles to drive down cost of quality.
Administer and coordinate SPC and Problem Solving Tools training in plants
Responsible for identifying & publishing key quality metrics to the organization
Assists in interpreting SPC data to improve and understand production processes to increase quality and efficiency.
Review training systems for SPC and drive program for effective implementation at all plants
Develops inspection and sampling procedures by working with Quality Analysts to assure control of quality at the most economical costs.
Qualifications:
Four year degree required (Statistics or Engineering preferred)
At least one year of experience in a manufacturing environment utilizing lean six sigma tools, SPC/Analytics software packages preferred
Ability to travel up to 50% globally
Experience working with automated quality inspection systems preferred
Energetic self-starter and eagerness to explore new technology
