JOB SUMMARYThis position reports directly to the Continuous Improvement Manager and will be Leading and executing hands-on continuous improvement projects across shop floor (across multiple shifts) with a “servant leader” mentality. This position works closely with the Leadership Teams, Process Owners across all Departments and Value Streams. There are no direct reports to this position.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Perform “Standard Work” audits on the shop floor with Operators, Engineers, Operations Leaders. Provide coaching and guidance on “Standard Work” compliance.
- Assist and own “Standard Work” training and improvement ideas (along with Engineers and Operations team).
- Perform “Daily Accountability Tier Board” audits and coaching Team Leaders/Group Leaders to drive engagement/performance with data, actions and problem solving.
- Facilitate 5S projects across the plant along with Team Leaders and/or Group Leaders.
- Lead 5S audits across the plant and improve overall 5S score and visual factory.
- Support in developing and implementing visual controls.
- Develop and implement “Pull System” through the shop floor to align with business objectives.
- Assist with Lean training program for the plant.
- Support Team Leaders and Group Leaders in trend analysis and problem solving.
- Schedules, participates in and leads site-level Continuous Improvement meetings.
- Contribute to designing and deploying a strategy for fostering a culture of excellence, flexibility, and resilience.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
- Walking, bending, squatting, twisting and standing
- Plant environment that may have extreme hot and/or cold temperatures
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES
- High School Diploma or equivalent (Associates degree preferred).
- Must have at least 2 years of shop floor manufacturing experience.
- Experience in Lean/CI, Quality, and/or Supervision is preferred.
- Experience and working knowledge of Lean/CI tools and processes (Standard Work, 5S, Visual Controls, Pull System, etc.).
- Requires good analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Flexibility to work across multiple shifts (with flex hours).
- Ability to follow, with details, written and verbal instructions.
- Ability to ready and understand work order routing and instructions.
- Requires good attention to details and organizational skills.
- Ability to use hand and power tools.
- Ability to lead with influence and track project progress.
- Must be able to manage multiple projects on the shop floor.
- Ability to train others in classroom and shop floor settings.
