Monday-Friday 8:30-5:30
This department handles all of the transactions pertaining to wire transfers from the retail sites or online requests that people make. They will need to verify that the person is who they say they are, assist with questions and then match up the transfers that went through with what was requested. There are multiple systems that will be used throughout the day for the bank. Will also work within spreadsheets for tracking purposes.
JOB SUMMARY
This position is responsible for processing all domestic and international incoming and outgoing wire transfer activities accurately using good judgement while adhering to performance standards. Verifies and reviews wire transfer requests to ensure the authenticity of customer authorization and/or approvals. Ensures the appropriate customer accounts are debited/credited.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Operations
Review wire request forms received from branches/departments for completeness and proper approval.
Perform various security related functions such as funds verification, PIN verifications and callback confirmations to validate the authenticity of outgoing wire transfers.
Create Fedwire payments by inputting the data into eWire (ASP Wire Transfer Processing Service).
Review, verify, validate and execute the wire transfer requests.
Complete daily balancing and end of day procedures.
Compliance
Review and verify the OFAC List to check the originators of incoming wires & the beneficiaries for outgoing wires.
Basic understanding of US Patriot Act and OFAC guidelines
Ensure that all payments are processed in accordance with the established policies and procedures.
Participate in all required training sessions for compliance.
Problem Resolution
DO NOT need banking or lending experience, although it is preferred. A strong administrative and customer service background is required.
