Summary: As a Dispatcher, you will be a key team player within the City of Novi's Public Safety team. You will be required to perform extensive phone work along with dispatching police, fire and EMS personnel. This is not an entry level position for police or fire candidates. This position is a 12 hour shift, 84 hour bi-weekly schedule.
Responsibilities include:
- Operating police and fire radios; receiving requests for police and fire services or information by telephone; determining appropriate resources necessary, transferring calls to other law enforcement agencies, ambulance service, or other appropriate party, providing routine police information, or taking other appropriate action.
- Warrant entry and filing; typing and data entry dealing with a variety of police/fire records and reports. Performing other misc. duties as required.

Qualifications:
You hold at least a high school diploma or equivalent. You have the ability to effectively communicate orally and in writing. Desirable candidates must have excellent inter-personal communication skills, can work as a collaborative team member where leadership and sound judgment must be exercised, and be polite and professional.
Salary: $49,390 with a comprehensive fringe benefit package
