GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF POSITIONThe Digital Marketing Lead (DML) works as part of the global Horstman Business Development team to manage the Horstman Group website and social media brand presence, provide market analyses, maintain sales pipeline management tools, develop digital and hard copy promotional sales material, support bids and proposals and coordinate Horstman Group participation in international trade shows. The DML will work closely with the RENK GmbH communications team to coordinate the Horstman Group’s external communications with the RENK corporate communications strategy and trade show planning.Basic FunctionThe DML must work independently on multiple simultaneous projects, collaborating closely with members of the Business Development team to support the achievement of the Horstman Group sales objectives and brand positioning strategy. The DML will also collaborate closely with the Engineering functions of Horstman Group to communicate new products and product improvements to our customers through social media, the Horstman Group website as well as digital and hard copy promotional material.Engaged with the RENK GmbH communications team, they will coordinate Horstman Group digital brand and social media communications strategy as well as Horstman Group international trade show participation with the RENK corporate communications team. Notably, they will support RENK in proofing of English language material for the US and international market.The DML will develop a results-driven digital brand social media strategy and will develop engaging content for social media platforms for the Horstman Group while maintaining a unified brand voice across different channels. The DML will be responsible for the development of a social media calendar and will monitor channels for industry trends. They will interact with users and respond to social media messages, inquiries and comments as well as review analytics and create reports on key metrics.Using their exceptional digital graphics, written communications and digital multimedia skills, the DML will maintain and update the Horstman Group website digital content and integrate the website into the digital brand and social media strategy. They will be confident translating technical content in to visually compelling graphics and written technical descriptions. Through the use of their written and graphical arts expertise, the DML will support the development of bids and proposals as a member of the Business Development capture team. Additionally, the DML will develop market analyses that will help to identify business opportunities and support the development of competitive analyses by the Business Development team.The DML will plan and coordinate Horstman Group participation in international trade shows including support to RENK’s corporate communications team in the development of multi-media trade show presentation materials, display product samples, booth design, rental of booth space and booth set-up. The role is in a key position regarding proper business ethics, export / trade compliance, fraud prevention and anti-corruption measures. They will at all time work in compliance with the RENK Group code of conduct, the UK Bribery Act and the US Foreign Corrupt Practices Act.Reporting RelationshipReports directly to the Horstman Group Vice President, Business Development with whom they will agree their annual goals.The post holder will have a dotted line report for brand compliance, support and coordination with the manager of the RENK GmbH corporate communications organization. KEY Duties & RESPONSIBILITIESCreate and execute a Horstman Group social media and digital brand strategy, in harmony with wider corporate guidelines from RENK where applicable Maintain and update the Horstman Group website and integrate it into the Horstman Group digital brand and social media strategy Support RENK in proofing of English language material for the US and international market Coordinate the Horstman Group brand, media and trade show planning – together with RENK corporate communications team where applicable Develop market analyses to identify new sales opportunities, identify new product opportunities, perform digital surveys in support of business development market studies, and support competitive analyses. Support the maintenance of existing sales pipeline and develop new sales pipeline management tools Develop multi-media promotional sales material and internal training material Work flexibly with ad-hoc capture teams as required to win new business - participate in bid and proposal development by developing graphic and written material Support prospective and existing customer visits with senior management and colleagues by providing supporting multi-media presentation material Proactively participate in continuous improvement initiatives that improve the business, processes, procedures, working practices and people Work ethically at all times.
