Our work depends on a Senior Test Engineer joining our team to support the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services activities at Woodlawn, Maryland.
At GDIT, our employees are driven, resourceful, and unwavering. As a Senior Test Engineer supporting the Eligibility Appeals Operations Support project (EAOS), you will be trusted to test an application that manages the eligibility appeals process for the Affordable Care Act.
In this role, a typical day will include:
Designing, developing, and implementing test plans and manual and automated test scripts, which will test requirements for products, systems, software and/or related technology.
Creating tests in the context of a collaborative, team-based environment.
Implementing and identifying innovative tools, frameworks, automation, and utilities to increase velocity while maintaining and improving quality standards.
Applying technical, business, and quality skills to assess product and code health, implement modern testing approaches, and prevent production defects.
Helping establish a highly collaborative environment that values speed and quality.
Actively participating in agile meetings with product and program management.
Having a proactive attitude and a willingness to "go the extra mile" to get the job done.
Creating end-to-end system integration test cases to use as a design for developing regression automated tests.
Validating, verifying, communicating, and resolving systems/software application issues through testing.
Participating in design/requirement conversations, and providing input from the application validation standpoint.
Reviewing work products for correctness and adherence to the design concept and to user standards.
Implementing agile concepts, continuous integration and DevOps concepts and best practices into testing.
Mentoring and coaching program team members on Quality Assurance tasks and procedures.
Assisting development and production support staff with tracking down reproducible cases to correct bugs during all testing phases and after implementation.
Conducting root cause analysis of the issues/bugs identified and thoroughly documenting reproduction steps and the actual vs. intended outcomes.
What You'll Need:
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university preferred, equivalent experience will be considered in lieu of degree.
5+ years of application testing experience.
Strong experience with automated testing tools/frameworks/languages such as Selenium, UFT, eggplant Functional, Test Complete, Cucumber, Java, NUnit, Junity, JMeter, Karma, etc.
Reliability in Cloud computing knowledge/experience.
Experience in Test Management/Collaboration Tools, e.g., JIRA, Confluence, ALM, TestComplete, Zephyr.
Familiarity of various SDLC methodologies - Agile, Waterfall.
Deep understanding of the different software testing methodologies.
Experience working as part of an agile team utilizing SAFe Agile, Scrum, XP, Kanban, or Scrumban.
Generation and maintenance of controlled test datasets and scenarios.
Experience working with DevSecOps pipelines.
Experience writing automated tests for web front ends, web services, APIs, and databases.
Experience testing commercial-off-the-shelf applications.
Accessibility/Sec 508 Testing experience.
US Citizenship is Required for this Position.
